I don't drink, but this is cool

In Italy it is common to serve neat Sambuca with some floating coffee beans dropped on it: it is called Sambuca con mosca (literally, "Sambuca with flies"). The beans are there as an ornament, but they can be chewed to increase the taste of anise. It is usually served in restaurants with 3 coffee beans and is said that the beans represent: health, happiness, and prosperity. The story goes that if you order Sambuca con mosca in an Italian restaurant and the bartender serves it with only two beans, that means that the bartender is silently giving you notice that there is a mob hit about to happen in the joint and that you should quickly enjoy your Sambuca and split.
